Book Reviews

"To be honest, I was scared to stay at home with my kids. How will I do this, won't I miss working with people too much, how do I know I will be right for my kids, what if I can't teach them everything they need to know, what if my kids fall behind from other kids their age, how will we ever pay for everything? I had so many questions and still do, but can say after reading Carey's book, I was ready for the challenge. I loved her sense of humor and definitely her KNOWLEDGE. We have had to make some major changes but due to Carey's insight, things aren't so hard to handle. I am so glad to have my kids out of the daycare scene, and with gas prices alone lately, we have made the right decision to stay at home."

"...Keavy's book addresses the many facets of the choice to come home with unrelenting conviction, yet full of the compassion that proves she understands the sensitivities associated with a move homeward....Keavy offers sound, principled argument, with love, compassion, AND with creative solutions and rich humor!...Carey Keavy has written what we all want to say to our dearest friends, but we're afraid of risking the friendship. Now all we need to do is giftwrap the book and present it at the baby shower!"

"This book offers such a refreshing and subtle outlook on becoming or being a stay at home mom. With the use of humor and biblical facts, as well as, quotes from other authors and famous people, Carey Keavy has a real winner here! The advice is so helpful and I recommend this to all of you women out there that think your career is more important than your children. Remember....they are only little for a short time....why pay someone else to enjoy them when they are so cute?? I hope Carey comes out with more advice books soon! She is obviously doing something right!"

--Kim Huber, Reno, NV, mother of 2

"I am a mother of two and have been trying to make being a stay at home mom work for our family. Every situation is unique and some families are struggling financially more than others, however, we all have one common goal, and that is our children. After reading Carey's book which is filled with humor and lots of great advice, I feel that I will be able to use some of her ideas and make a plan that could work for my family. Thank you Carey!!"
