Indian Stew:

You will need:

1 package bacon

2 cans white hominy

1 large frozen package corn

2 family sized cans diced tomatoes

1 can or frozen package okra

Salt and pepper to taste

Minced garlic to taste

6 cups water



Slice bacon into small cubes. In bottom of a large stew pot, fry bacon until cooked but not crispy. DO NOT DRAIN GREASE. Add all other ingredients and about 6 cups water. Season until tastes flavorful. Use a lot of salt, or can flavor with a boullion type product. Heat thoroughly for one hour. Serve with cornbread.
