Texas Chili: In bottom of soup pot, add 1/8 cup cooking oil, and 2 lbs ground beef. Add 1 cup chopped green peppers, 1 cup chopped onion and brown with beef. Add 2 lg cans stewed tomatoes, 1 can tomato sauce, 5 16 oz cans pinto beans (drained), 2 tblsp chili powder, 4 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt, 4 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano, up to 5 tsp hot sauce. Stir together and cook for about 2 hours. Serve with corn bread. (This recipe is great because it makes chili dogs, then chili macaroni which can be frozen for later use if your family is sick of it.) To make chili macaroni, simply add a few cups of leftover chili to a cooked box of elbow macaroni and stir.

To make CHILI DOGS...you will need hot dogs, buns, chopped onions, and shredded cheese. Add chili on top of hot dogs, top with onions, cheese and may alos use sour cream for a twist!
